Privacy Policy
Effective October 19, 2026
In short. We never sell your information, and there are no ads, ad trackers or analytics tools in Last Date. Your circles see only your circle card: your name and first photo. Your messages are encrypted when stored, though not end to end. You can delete your account at any time.
This policy explains what Last Date LLC ("Last Date", "we") collects through the Last Date app at app.lastdate.io and the site at lastdate.io, why, and who can see it.
What we collect
- Your phone number, to send your sign-in codes. In our database it is kept only as a keyed fingerprint, so we can recognize your number without storing it in readable form.
- About you: your name and backup email (both stored encrypted), birth year, gender, and your home area. The app asks your phone for its location once at sign-up and works out the nearest city on your phone; your exact location is never sent to us.
- Your profile if you are looking: photos (we remove location and camera details from every photo), the line you write, the basics you choose to answer (such as work, height, marital history, children, education and timeline), your answers in deeper profile layers (the most personal stored encrypted), and your preferences.
- Your circles: the people you add, by phone number (kept as a keyed fingerprint) and the name you give them (stored encrypted), the circles you make and join, and who you're connected with.
- What you do in the app: dates sent and received, passes, matches, introductions from your circles, messages (stored encrypted), reports and blocks.
- Sign-in records: when you signed in and a short label for the device (like "iPhone, Safari"). Your IP address is used briefly to stop abuse, such as too many sign-in attempts.
- Your agreement to these policies and when you gave it.
- The waitlist at lastdate.io: your name, your email, and whether you're looking or a matchmaker. We use them only to tell you when Last Date opens to you; write to us to be taken off.
Sensitive information
Last Date is made for Muslims, so being a member shows that you are Muslim, and parts of your profile (such as marital history and children) are personal. You consent, when you join, to our using this information only to run Last Date for you. We never sell it or use it for advertising.
How we use it
- To run Last Date: sign you in, show you people your circles can vouch for, show you to them, and deliver your dates, introductions and messages.
- To keep people safe: review photos, act on reports, enforce blocks and limits, and stop fraud and abuse.
- To keep Last Date working and secure.
Who sees what
- People in your circles see your circle card (name and first photo), never your dating profile or whether you are looking. You choose which circles may know you're looking and help.
- People you could match with see your profile, in the layers the app describes. If you turn on Everyone, people beyond your circles in your area can see your first layer, and only while you're in it too.
- Last Date never shows your phone number to anyone.
- Messages are seen only by the people in that conversation.
Who we share it with
Only the companies that run Last Date's services for us, under their terms, for that purpose alone:
- Vercel, which hosts the app and site;
- Supabase, which runs our database;
- Amazon Web Services, which stores photos and holds the keys that encrypt names, messages and other private fields;
- Twilio, which sends sign-in codes to your phone number;
- Google Firebase, which stores the lastdate.io waitlist.
We may also share information if the law requires it, to protect someone's safety, or as part of a sale or merger of Last Date, in which case this policy continues to apply to it.
What we never do
- Sell your information, or share it for advertising.
- Put ads, ad trackers or analytics tools in Last Date.
- Text anyone except to send you your own sign-in codes. Invitations you send to friends go from your own phone.
How we protect it
Names, emails, messages and the most personal profile answers are encrypted when stored, with keys held in Amazon's key service. Messages are not end-to-end encrypted: Last Date's servers can decrypt them in order to deliver them, and the database lets each person reach only what is theirs to see. No security is perfect, and we'll tell you if a breach affects your information, as the law requires.
Keeping and deleting
You can delete your account at any time in Settings. Your profile, photos and circles go with it. Blocks you placed stay in force, kept as fingerprints, so a block can't be undone by deleting an account. We may keep a report, and what's needed to act on it, for as long as needed to keep people safe or meet a legal obligation.
Your choices
You can see and change most of what you've told us in the app. To ask for a copy of your information, a correction, or deletion, write to support@lastdate.io from your backup email or tell us your account details there, and we'll answer within 45 days. Depending on where you live, you may have further rights, and you can appeal any decision we make about a request by writing to the same address.
Age
Last Date is only for people 18 and older. We don't knowingly collect information from anyone younger, and we delete it if we learn we have.
Changes and contact
If we change this policy, we'll post it here with its date and, if the change matters, ask you to agree in the app. Questions: support@lastdate.io · Last Date LLC, New Jersey.
